Todd Boudreaux of Boudreaux Law Firm runs a solo family law practice in Augusta, GA. He has been practicing law for 25 years, he practiced bankruptcy law for 20 years before deciding to switch to family law and personal injury. The transition of his practice focus meant that he had to rebrand his law firm to a new clientele. Although Boudreaux Law Firm’s website and PPC showcased that he was practicing new areas of law, the leads were not reflecting his efforts.

SEO Campaign
When we first took over Todd’s website, there was no analytic tracking on the site and that it was not properly optimized for search. After running reports on the site, we found that Boudreaux Law Firm was only ranked in the top 100 organic search results for a total of 58 keywords. Of those keywords, “Boudreaux law firm” was the only one that showed up on the first page of Google.
Within approximately six months after properly optimizing his website for search, Todd’s law firm had:
- 3% increase in organic traffic
- 23% increase in total search terms with 358 valuable keywords ranked in the top 100 organic search results
- 32 keywords ranked in the top 20 positions of the search engine results.
- Of those 32 keywords, 16 are on the first page of Google.
With the increase in high volume search terms and many other optimization tactics, Boudreaux Law Firm received more traffic to his website, giving him more visibility and business for his law firm. While it is still early in the process, we are optimistic that the results will continue to increase over the next 11 months.
Google Ad Campaign
Todd mentioned to us that his current ad campaign’s budget was being spent every day, but he was not getting the return that he should’ve been receiving. When we went through his campaign, there was only two ad group stuffed with nearly 50 keywords and no conversion tracking.
Because there was no conversion tracking to compare our efforts, we could not accurately measure the increase in calls after we took over the campaign (Todd, however, has told us that he receives far more calls that he did before. Unfortunately, that is not a quantitative measurement that we can use).
We removed the useless keywords that were resulting in wasteful clicks and spending while properly grouping specific keywords into their own ad groups. On average each month, the Boudreaux Law Firm’s ad campaign receives approximately:
- 4 phone calls
- 5 form fill-outs
- 86% reduction in ad spend
Conclusion
By increasing Boudreaux Law Firm’s visibility in the organic search results and having control of his visibility for his PPC campaign, Todd’s law firm is now more visible for quality leads to find him either by clicking on his ad or finding his website on the organic search page. Boudreaux Law Firm now receives more business than he originally thought possible, and now recommends Catapult Legal Marketing to other attorneys throughout Georgia (with the exception of his competitors of course).
